News Update – 11-18-09

Hey Everyone,

Here’s the latest with the club:

***Seminar Canceled for November***
Due to it being close to the hectic ending of November with Thanksgiving and everything, we’re canceling the seminar. To make up for it, we’re scheduling a few other special events so stay in touch!

***Wings Your Way Night Dec. 2nd***
On December 2nd at 7:30PM, join the Business Starters for a night out at Wings Your Way. Come chill and have some good food with all of us. A great way to meet everyone behind the club and have some amazing food. Everyone pays their own way 🙂

***Business Critique Night Dec.9th***
Working on a business plan? Need some help, guidance, or advice? Then come in on December 9th to have your plan critiqued or if you don’t have one, learn some great pointers on how exactly you should start. Other general business questions answered too. Special guest Andrew Kellar will be joining us.

***Logo Contest Extension***
We are keeping the contest open until the end of the semester for anyone else who wants to get in the running for $25. Thanks to everyone who has already submitted their work! We updated the requirements for the contest so check out the Facebook group page under “Info” for details.

***New Executive/Officer Positions Opening!***
Want to still get involved with the Business Starters, but missed the application deadline? You can still be involved!

Due to the growth of the club, and the goals of the group, we have an opening for new executive and officer positions in the field of Internet Branding. If you’re interested, fill out the application below and submit it no later than December 2nd 2009 by email or to the meeting that night. Strong internet savvy recommended.

***Special Event Ideas?***
If anyone’s got any good ideas for a possible event between Jan26th and the February Seminar, we would love to hear it. We were thinking on holding a mini lecture on the power of social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and other social media outlets. Anyone interested in that kind of thing? If there’s a bunch of you that would love to hear more, just reply 🙂
